Stay Away Rhino!
These two females which formed part of a small family pride of 5 lions and lionesses had an altercation with the Rhino you can see in the background.
The Rhino won!
The Lions gave way but not without this snarl to indicate their displeasure.
The front lioness has a radio collar on for tracking purposes so that the Conservation authorities can monitor their well-being in the park.
Amazing photo especially with the Rhino in the background. One would presume that with a pride of 5 lions the odds would be stacked against the Rhino, however until one has seen the enormous size of the Rhino can one really understand what a dangerous animal it can be.
Remember the lions were juniors not adults so they were no match for the Rhino anyway. And even Adults would've backed away from that guys huge horn! I will post some pics of the Rhino at some stage on.
Thanks so much for the comments.
